WELCOME TO THE PINE BELT SATELLITE OF CHADD!
CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is committed to improving the lives of individuals with AD/HD and represents individuals of all ages with AD/HD, their families, and the professionals who work with them.
Through FREE monthly meetings, the Pine Belt Satellite of CHADD AD/HD Parent Support Group provides a place for people to communicate with each other based on their shared interest in and struggles and successes with AD/HD. The need is great and the rewards even greater. It is an opportunity to serve, grow, learn, make new friends, and exchange ideas. By attending monthly meetings and being a member of CHADD, you will have access to a wealth of information about AD/HD and local community resources. Not only will you be providing others with support, but you will soon find others providing support and information to you.
HELP US HELP YOU! READ ON!
Currently, meetings are scheduled the third Monday of each month at 7:00pm in classroom #4 at the Center for Healthy Living at The Family Y in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Our main goal is to provide an environment where parents and/or caregivers of AD/HD children can comfortably exchange information. And, as a long-term goal, the larger our group becomes, the easier it will be to break off into smaller community groups to even better assist you!
We want our group to be functional for its members so please give us some feedback!
- What do you want to see come from this support group?
- What topics would you like to receive more information about?
- Is there another day of the week we could meet that would work better for your schedule?
- Would an earlier start time allow you to participate? What time would you like to meet?
- Do you prefer a different meeting location and do you have suggestions of places that will allow us to meet at no cost?
- If speakers could be lined up, what topics are you interested in learning more about?
Give us the opportunity to organize a group that meets your needs! Please provide us with feedback through the “Contact Us” page of this website. We’re accessible via email or phone.
We hope to hear from you and look forward to seeing you at our next meeting (children are welcome if closely supervised)!
